I've wanted to make some nice Christmas stockings for my two girls and last week decided to take the plunge and cut up one of my old lambswool jumpers (aka sweater) as it was the perfect dark burgundy colour... lovely for Christmas!
They aren't exactly the same by any means, but still similar. Kinda like my girls.
I used some soft flannel to line them (from my stash that I bought from the op shop) and just traced an old stocking we had on hand to get the shape. You can find a ton of stocking templates on the web too if you didn't have a stocking already.
All it needs now is their name on the cuff and some embroidery (snowflakes would be pretty.)

cute! I made stockings and they're cute except I put my dauther's initial on the wrong side so either her stocking hangs with no initial showing, or it points the other way from the rest. haha. I'm so smart.
Oh i adore these, ready to make a 3rd one for next year, love Posie
aww, these are just adorable!! love that you lined them as well! it's those extra touches...
